Discover if the Koss Porta Pro Limited Edition Rhythm Beige is right for you. This guide covers features, trade-offs, and who should buy it.
Quick answer
The Koss Porta Pro Limited Edition Rhythm Beige is a stylish variant with an inline microphone, remote, and attenuating volume control, plus a hard carrying case. It's a solid choice if you want the classic Porta Pro sound with added call and media controls.
What makes this edition different
Beyond the Rhythm Beige color, this Limited Edition adds an inline microphone and remote with attenuating volume control. That means you can take calls and adjust playback without reaching for your phone. It also includes a hard compact carrying case alongside the standard pouch.
Trade-offs to consider
The inline mic and remote add a small weight to the cable, which may be noticeable if you prefer a completely minimalist cord. Also, the hard case is more protective but bulkier than the standard pouch, so it takes up more space in a bag.
Decision rules
- Need call controls?: If you often take calls or listen to media on the go, the inline mic and remote make this edition a practical upgrade over the standard Porta Pro.
- Prefer a minimalist cable?: The inline module adds a small weight. If you want the lightest possible cord, consider the standard Porta Pro without the mic.
- Want a hard case?: The included hard compact case protects better than a pouch. If you carry your headphones loose in a bag, this is a plus.
